Purple Hive Project
Purple Hive Project is a project innovated by Bega Cheese Limited with Thinkerbell and has been brought to life with the help of Vimana Tech, Xailient, and Honest Fox.
Vimana Tech is responsible for the design and development of the physical hardware and IoT device that connects to the Purple Hive to run the software and algorithms.
The project was founded to protect Australia's bee and honey industry from the destructive Varroa mite.
The device analyses each bee as they enter and exit the hive for the presence of the Varroa mite and alerts beekeepers immediately upon detection.
